We are pleased that you are interested in applying for admission to
Reformed Theological Seminary, Virtual. This page will give you instructions for
applying online. If you have any questions about any step, our staff

The application includes almost 40 questions and will take most people around one hour to complete all the fields. Before you begin, it is suggested that you print out the application pages, fill them in manually, and then return to the online application and transfer your answers to the appropriate fields. Also, before you begin, carefully review the section on REFERENCES below.
When to apply.
Persons seeking admission may apply at any time.
Completing the application.
Please fill in the information in the spaces provided. You may want to
copy and paste longer narratives from your word processor into a text
area box. Mark any fields that do not apply to you with n/a. If ANY fields
are left blank, the form will not be processed. A secured space is provided
for credit card payment of the nonrefundable application fee.
For the MAR degree, the application fee is $75.
For Special and Visiting Students, the application fee is $50.
Please send a recent photograph via email or regular mail.
When you submit an application page, it is saved on our server. Later, you may return to these pages and edit them. Once you have completed the entire application process you will no longer be able to edit your pages.
Academic transcripts.
Please request each college or university that you have attended to send
an official transcript of your work to the RTS/Virtual campus at the
address given at the bottom of this page. All transcripts must be sent
directly to us by each college even if the work appears as transfer
credit on another transcript. Remember, you must make this request.
References.
RTS requires references from your pastor, a professor, and a
friend. You will be asked for the email address of each reference. BEFORE you begin filling in the application, you should have the email addresses of your references. If any of your references do not have email addresses there is a provision for you to send them through regular mail.
Security.
All submission forms are processed only on Reformed Theological Seminary's secure server using 128 bit encryption. Your online information, including social security number and credit card information, remains secure and confidential with RTS.
International students.
Applicants for whom English is a second language must submit a TOEFL
score of no less than 600. International students must also provide an
educational history before an application will be considered complete.
When you will receive word.
RTS has a rolling admissions policy. As soon as your application and all
of the required transcripts and references are received, the committee
will review your file, and you will be notified of the decision. If
there is a delay in receiving one or more of your required references or
transcripts, you will be notified.
Other requirements.
The Admissions Committee will examine the credentials submitted to
determine each applicant’s suitability for admission. Admission may be
granted on the basis of these credentials alone, or the Committee may
also require one or more of the following:
- A personal interview with the candidate
- An entrance examination in any subject which the Committee deems basic
to seminary study
- The Graduate Record Examination
Acceptance of Admission.
Upon notification of admission to the Virtual Campus of RTS, applicants
must confirm their intention to study with RTS/Virtual by means of a non-refundable
deposit of $200 within two weeks of the notification. Upon enrollment
in the first course, the deposit will be credited toward the tuition for
the course.
