 Richard Belcer, Jr., Ph.D., Associate Professor of Old Testament, RTS/Charlotte -
Dr. Belcher was a pastor for ten years in Rochester, New York. His pastoral experience in an unusual and challenging setting gives him great insight into the practical, modern issues that will be faced by the future pastors he is training at RTS. After graduating from Covenant College, he became involved in an inner city congregation, Grace and Peace Fellowship, while he attended Covenant Seminary and earned his M.Div. He received an S.T.M. from Concordia Theological Seminary and his Ph.D. from Westminster Theological Seminary, where he served as a lecturer in Hebrew for several years. He has also taught in urban institutes in Rochester, New York, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

 Joel Harlow, Ph.D.
Dr. Harlow has pastored several churches, has served in Papua New Guinea as a Bible translator with Wycliffe Bible Translators, and has taught Greek and Hebrew for more than a decade. He previously taught in the classroom at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Charlotte, and has been teaching the Biblical languages online at RTS Virtual for 8 years. He has now had over 900 online Greek and Hebrew students.

Dr. Harlow is a frequent presenter at professional conferences, such as the Society for Biblical Literature. He has also published an article on RTS Virtual's success in teaching the Biblical languages online in Teaching Theology & Religion.

Dr. Harlow holds a B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University, an M.T.S. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary—Charlotte, and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
